how Bornn was Born
BORNN was born from a passion for clothing that values style,
responsibility, and honesty. No empty trends or fast fashion — just a clear
belief that fashion should never come at the expense of people or the planet.
The idea grew from a desire to do things differently: with a focus on quality,
sustainability, and a transparent production chain.
The brand officially launched in September 2024 as part of a
business minor project. Founded by Naud Niemeyer from Borne,
BORNN was developed not from behind a desk, but from within the market itself —
shaped by real conversations, customer insights, and a critical view of
fashion’s environmental footprint. The name BORNN reflects this personal
foundation: BOR from Borne, and NN from Naud Niemeyer — a name
that carries both origin and intent.
Where other brands offer overshirts as an afterthought, BORNN
specializes in them. By focusing entirely on this one item, we create a unique
balance of craftsmanship, fit, and vision. The sharp elegance of a blazer meets
the relaxed comfort of a casual shirt — elevated with premium prints, timeless
silhouettes, and meticulous details.

We work with a carefully researched blend of recycled polyester, ECOVERO™ viscose, and elastane — selected for its low environmental impact, exceptional durability, and refined feel. This fabric, produced ethically in Portugal, is the result of extensive life-cycle assessment, evaluating everything from water use to CO₂ emissions. The result is a material that performs exceptionally and endures gracefully.
